When we speak of the Veneto polenta whole becomes the protagonist. This traditional peasant dish is still a delicacy that the houses do not fail to renew Venetian in line with the old ways.
Arriving in Italy probably in the mid-sixteenth century, following the Venetian trade with the East, corn, which yields the polenta, it is essential for many centuries of Venetian cuisine.
The preparation, then as now, remains the same: you cook the corn meal in water or broth and is matched with cheeses, sauces and meat.
In this particular food Vigasio devotes a special celebration during which you can taste dishes, pizzas and sweets made of corn. Beer and local wines are on offer in the culinary feast enlivened by good live music, which entertains every evening.
