Peter Gabriel at the Arena di Verona

A legend of rock at the Arena of Verona.

The amphitheater in Verona, after the single date of Alicia Keys yesterday, will host in September that it is likely to become the only Italian concert by Peter Gabriel.

The unforgettable former leader of Genesis would return to our country, then, after the show in July 2007 in Venice, Piazza San Marco.

Investigator and researcher of ethnic music, multi advanced not only as regards the composition and sound research but also in matters of registration and distribution of music, Gabriel has recently released the album "Scratch My Back."

It is a collection of songs more or less famous artists such as David Bowie, Paul Simon, Lou Reed, Talking Heads, Neil Young and Radiohead, reread in a sometimes surprising.

But the intellectual curiosity of the author of "Passion" (soundtrack of "The Last Temptation of Christ") brought him also to reconsider underground groups and soloists such as Elbow, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Regina Spektor and Magnetic Fields.

The title of the new concert series, "The New Blood tour" (the tour of the new blood), invokes the image of the album cover: two red blood cells that are touching.

The concert date is yet to be determined.
