Risitaly 2010 - Isola della Scala

"Rice is born in water and dies in wine" reads a popular saying.

And the tradition in Isola della Scala has not changed for over 40 years, the Fair offers good risotto rice to accompany, if you will, a good glass of wine.

Respect the past and the ability to offer the world's best-known cereal in 100 different ways have made this event the most visited food and wine event in Italy.

The event will be held from September 15th to October 10th 2010.

Last year we came to find over half a million gourmets, who were able to sample our dishes and seize the many opportunities for entertainment and culture that provides the Fair.

The secret is the passion and hospitality of our land, combined with the quality of our rice, Vialone Nano Veronese IGP, risottari prepared by teachers with years of experience between ladles and pots.

And in Isola della Scala Vialone Nano is synonymous with Risotto all'Isolana : this is a recipe for date in history that points all his goodness, as well as the preparation and cooking of rice, particularly on ingredients the condiment made with meat broth, beef fat, pork loin, parmesan cheese, cinnamon and rosemary.
